Birthdays are big in our home. We enjoy them to the fullest! November 4th marked the most important birthday for John Robert... his Spiritual Birthday!!! That night after AWANA, John Robert asked his Daddy to pray with him. He decided that he needed to ask Jesus to forgive him of his sins and wanted Him to live in his heart. We are so thankful that John Robert has recognized and responded to his need for a Savior. We have been praying for his salvation daily, even before he was born.
Here's John Robert and his Daddy after they prayed together. We were still at church. They prayed together in the hall around the corner from Daddy's office.
After John Robert shared his special news with Poppy and Nana, they wanted to take him out to dinner at his favorite restaurant...you guessed it...The Olive Garden.

Thank you Father for drawing my son near to You. How great is your love for him! I know by this...that you would give the life of Your Son to save the life of my son. There are no words...
